Studies, reports, and plans that help guide our work and support our communities.
Our strategy is guided by plans and targeted studies that shape destination marketing and management across the region. From destination planning to housing, resident, and visitor research, this work provides the data behind our efforts. We encourage partners to explore and use these plans, reports, and research to support planning, track progress, and advance local goals and initiatives.
The Destination Marketing and Management Plan serves as ROOST’s framework for guiding how tourism is promoted and managed across the region. Informed by data, staff experience, stakeholder input, and resident sentiment, it reflects a focus on supporting local economies while considering community character, the environment, and available resources. The plan outlines how ROOST carries out its marketing work through storytelling, campaigns, digital platforms, public relations, and visitor services, while also addressing how tourism is managed by working with communities, using data to inform decisions, and monitoring visitor impacts over time.
We lead plans and studies to help better understand visitors, communities, regional housing, and the impacts of tourism across the Adirondacks. Using in-house expertise, with support from consultants and experts, this work helps answer key questions that inform planning and support projects. These insights guide destination marketing and management decisions and provide data to support our partners’ projects and initiatives.
Our End of Year Report looks back at our work, progress, and performance over the past year. It highlights key projects, marketing efforts, and destination management work, along with insights from economic data and community input. It also shares performance metrics, outlines strategies put into action, and shows how this work sets the stage for the year ahead.
