ROOST's Strategic Plan

ROOST’s 2026–2028 Strategic Plan outlines a clear, community-centered roadmap for strengthening the region’s tourism economy while enhancing quality of life for residents. Grounded in stakeholder input and data-driven insights, the plan defines our shared vision, strategic priorities, and actionable initiatives for the years ahead.

ROOST Strategic Plan 2026-2028

In 2025, the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism (ROOST) developed an updated three-year Strategic Plan for 2026–2028. Guided by input from staff, stakeholders, and the ROOST Board, gathered through surveys conducted by the Coraggio Group, the plan refines ROOST’s vision and mission, strengthens its strategic pillars, and outlines goals with actionable initiatives.

Built around four core pillars: Destination Marketing, Destination Management, Community Alignment, and Organizational Sustainability, the plan provides a clear framework for enhancing quality of life, supporting community and industry needs, and advancing sustainable growth across the Adirondacks. We invite you to read the full plan to learn more about the strategies that will guide ROOST’s work in the years ahead.
