ROOST’s destination management work focuses on balancing visitor activity with community needs, ensuring tourism strengthens local economies while supporting residents’ quality of life.
Destination management addresses how tourism impacts communities and how those impacts are guided, supported, and improved over time. For ROOST, this work includes collaborating with communities and local governments, using data to guide decision-making, supporting housing and infrastructure needs, and managing visitor impacts across seasons and places. By focusing on year-round economic resilience, resident sentiment, and long-term livability, we help ensure tourism remains a positive force for the people who live and work here, not just those who visit.
