ROOST PRESENTS MARKETING STATUS REPORT TO SPECULATOR OFFICIALS
Speculator, NY - During the Adirondack Speculator Region Chamber of Commerce dinner on May 17, Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism (ROOST) representatives provided a marketing program status report to area officials that outlined ongoing marketing initiatives and future projects.
In 2014, ROOST entered into an contract with Hamilton County to provide destination marketing services. As part of that contract, ROOST manages paid and earned marketing campaigns, associated social media accounts and the destination website, adirondackexperience.com, providing content updates, search engine optimization and hosting.
The presentation provides a snapshot of marketing results for Hamilton County, featuring website statistics for adirondackexperience.com, social media reach, content development (blogs), digital ad and graphic design projects, and more. Adirondack Experience's Facebook page has seen a 58 percent increase in followers since January!
ROOST has also designed and created websites for the Hamilton County towns of Inlet and the soon-to-be launched site for Indian Lake. ROOST is now working with the Adirondack Speculator Region Chamber of Commerce on a dedicated Speculator site.
The following power point presentation provides a snapshot of ROOST's marketing efforts and initiatives in Hamilton County:

By the numbers - ROOST's weekly content email reaches 21,000 viewers
May 31, 2017 - Each week, ROOST sends out a promotional email called Adirondacks, USA to a database list of tens of thousands of travelers who have expressed an interest in the region. Each email contains original content blogs written about the unique experiences available in each of our Adirondack destinations.
ROOST tracks the performance of each email and draws comparisons to previous ones sent, in order to maximize traffic to our regions' websites.
The chart located below illustrates the reach of the last five emails. The open rate is the number of times that email has been opened, including multiple openings by the same recipient. The unique opens is how many individuals opened that email. CTR stands for click through rate and shows how many of the people that opened the email clicked any of the links inside, whereas the total click through rate (TCTR) is a measurement of how many people came back to the email after clicking through to a blog, event, or advertisement in our email to click another link.

ROOST and ORDA staff attend Inntopia conference
ROOST and ORDA staff traveled last week to Stowe, Vermont to attend the annual Inntopia Partners Conference, 'INSIGHT'. Inntopia is the third-party booking platform ROOST began using last year on several websites. It is one of the leading e-commerce and central reservation platforms for destination travel. The software provides businesses the opportunity to reach visitors through a much more streamlined and user-friendly process.
In the last year, Inntopia has more than doubled in size, acquiring two companies, Ryan Solutions and Destimetrics, to strengthen their business intelligence and marketing tools. ROOST got a sneak peek at several new developments due to this growth that could have a significant impact on our Adirondack marketing efforts.
