Training on building a board to be offered in Tupper Lake
Nonprofits and community organizations are invited to participate in a training seminar on Thursday, Sept. 17.
The capacity-building seminar, “Building a Board that Works,” will be hosted by Adirondack Foundation, the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism, and the Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce. It will take place from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Goff-Nelson Memorial Library.

Public meeting tonight for proposed replacement of Route 9N bridge in AuSable Forks
The New York State Department of Transportation will host a public hearing and information meeting on tonight to discuss the proposed replacement of the Route 9N Bridge over the West Branch of the Ausable River in AuSable Forks. The bridge connects the town of Jay, Essex County and the town of Black Brook, Clinton County.
The meeting is scheduled for the Town of Jay Community Center on 11 School Lane in Au Sable Forks. An open house will kick off the meeting at 5:30 p.m. As part of tonight's meeting, a formal hearing and presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the project and potential right-of-way impacts. Affected property owners have been notified. A comment period will follow the presentation.
