Public invited to Tupper Lake open house

19 May Public invited to Tupper Lake open house

TUPPER LAKE — The public is invited to an open house at the new Tupper Lake Information Center.

The Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism and the Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce will host the open house. Attendees can meet and greet Michelle Clement, Tupper Lake and Hamilton County marketing director for ROOST, and Adam Baldwin, events administrator for the chamber, both of whom have office space at the Information Center, as well as ROOST CEO James McKenna, members of the chamber board, and local politicians. The center, which was previously home to the Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce offices, has been renovated to create dual office space and visitor center.

As part of the event, ROOST CEO James McKenna will provide an update on the destination master planning process on which he is working with local stakeholders. The process will help mold Tupper Lake’s future as a premium destination for visitors and a sustainable community for residents.

“The event will be an opportunity for people to come see the new office, bring questions for ROOST and the chamber, and to learn a little more about the marketing and destination planning program underway in Tupper Lake. We hope plenty of people take the opportunity to come talk with us about Tupper Lake’s future,” Clement said.

The open house will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at the Tupper Lake Information Center at 121 Park St. The Well Dressed Food Company will provide refreshments.

Immediately following the open house, Tupper Lake Revitalization Coordinator Melissa McManus will be holding an informal informational meeting for future Main Street Grant Projects at the office. For more information, click here: Tupper Main Street grant meeting press release (1).
