The following positions are currently available.

 


Advertising Sales

Reports to: Director of Digital Strategy

 

ROOST is the destination marketing organization for Essex, Hamilton, Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake, leading economic growth through tourism.

 

This position is responsible for developing and managing a program to assist local businesses with various forms of advertising; focusing on encouraging them to take advantage of our marketing initiatives.

 

Job duties include:

 

  • Solicit new and renewal business for ROOST marketing programs including:
    • Seasonal listing sales
    • Guide sales
    • Website featured and header images
    • Email promotions / email sponsorship
  • Manage applicable email marketing initiatives
  • Discuss advertising options, follow up on questions and secure signed contracts
  • Secure all materials necessary for marketing: photography, copy, brochures, etc from clients
  • Assist in writing copy for businesses as necessary
  • Enter client assets into database and ensure that businesses display accordingly and receive the marketing paid for
  • Measure results of work completed for clients and report on a regular basis
  • Maintain social media profiles and support ROOST efforts consistent with marketing strategies
  • All other duties as assigned

Lake Champlain Region Visitor Service Specialists

 

The Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism is looking for a part-time Visitor Service specialist to work in our Crown Point Office; the Lake Champlain Visitors Center. Candidates must have good communication skills, including phone skills, should be capable of working independently, and be team-oriented, cooperative, and collaborative. They should have a general knowledge of the Lake Champlain Region and surrounding areas, including roadways, and attractions, and enjoy sharing this knowledge. Basic computer skills are essential to become familiar with our websites and easily find information for visitors.

 

Position Type:

This will be a part-time position, possibly 3-4 days a week, and include weekends, mid-May through mid-October.

 

Reports To:

The Lake Champlain Visitor Center Manager
