Content Developer

 

The Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism/Lake Placid CVB is the destination marketing and management organization for Essex County, Hamilton County, Saranac Lake, and Tupper Lake. We offer a flexible work schedule and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a creative, fun, and passionate team.

 

We are currently seeking a full-time content developer to join the content team. The candidate best suited for this position must have strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Adirondack region.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Write regular blog/story posts for the regional websites
  • Help update content on various web pages on a seasonal basis
  • Write copy for any new pages developed for the websites
  • Review expiring content listings and helps write/update these listings as necessary
  • Write any new copy needed for collateral material, ads, emails, etc.
  • Assist in making edits to existing web content for SEO purposes
  • Edit new and existing content and documents as assigned
  • Work with team members to achieve set goals
  • As necessary, attend content/planning meetings, etc.
  • Generate a daily activity report
  • Any other duties as requested

Whiteface Regional Marketing Manager and Content Developer

 

The Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism/Lake Placid CVB is the destination marketing and management organization for Essex County, Hamilton County, Saranac Lake, and Tupper Lake. We offer a flexible work schedule and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a creative, fun, and passionate team.

 

The Whiteface Regional Marketing Manager & Content Developer is responsible for the following activities as they work with the team to implement the marketing and management strategies for the regions ROOST serves. The candidate best suited for this position must have strong writing and editing and social media skills. This person must also be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Whiteface Region which includes the Towns of Wilmington and Jay.

 

Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Project manager for marketing efforts for Whiteface Region:
    • Participate in the creation and implementation of the marketing and management plan for the Whiteface Region.
    • Coordinate with all departments on projects related to the region in order to ensure that messaging and media placements are consistent, cohesive, and on time.
    • Coordinate with community partners and businesses to gather information, materials, prizes, etc. necessary for the program. 
  • Social Media: manage the region’s current and potential future social media accounts. 
  • Website: Assist in the development/review of web content for WhitefaceRegion.com.
    • Write story content 
    • Manage the events calendar 
    • Oversee page content updates to ensure it is on message, etc.
    • Regularly review business listings to ensure they are up to date, etc.
  • Communications/Community Outreach:
  • Act as a liaison between the communities and ROOST.
  • Attend meetings related to the region as a ROOST representative.
  • Regular communication with the regions on important information regarding ROOST program of work and the disbursement of other important information.
  • Assist in destination management/development projects as applicable.
  • Provide the ROOST team with newsworthy tourism-related information for inclusion in regional promotional PR efforts, content updates, etc.
  • Foster collaborative partnership with Hamilton County tourism representatives.

Lake Placid Regional Marketing Manager

 

The Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism/Lake Placid CVB is the destination marketing organization for Essex, Hamilton counties, Tupper Lake, and Saranac Lake Regions. We offer a flexible work schedule and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a creative, fun, and passionate team.


The Regional Marketing Manager acts as the liaison between the community stakeholders, travelers and ROOST. The RMM is responsible for working with the team to implement the overall regional marketing strategies.


The candidate best suited for this position must have strong writing and social media skills and be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Lake Placid region.
