Lake Placid, NY –  A public information session for the new North Elba Local Enhancement and Advancement Fund (LEAF) will be held virtually on Tuesday, January 5 at 5:30 p.m. 

The North Elba LEAF is a dedicated and ongoing fund available to nonprofits, local governments, and public sector organizations within the Town of North Elba. Its mission is to provide funds for programs, activities, and facilities that will have direct benefits to North Elba communities and improve the quality of place for both residents and visitors.

The presentation and question and answer session will be hosted by the 11 member LEAF committee. This committee is responsible for accepting and reviewing applications and will make award recommendations to the North Elba Town Board. 

“Seeing this new fund take shape is really exciting for our community. We look forward to providing more information during the public session and answering any questions people may have,” said LEAF committee member Catherine Bemis, St. Agnes School Principal, and local business owner.
