ROOST staff updates
ROOST is pleased to announce that Jasen Lawrence has taken over as director of marketing. He replaces Vice President of Marketing Carol Joannette. Jasen has been at ROOST for nearly two years in the position of website development manager. Originally from Upper Jay, Jasen found himself drawn back to the Adirondacks a number of years ago to become a local small business owner. He enjoys all the outdoor recreation opportunities the region has to offer, and we will be cheering him on as he participates in this year's Ironman!
We also have a few new staff members to welcome to the team:
Chelsea Cook is originally from Long Island, and just moved to the area last month. She played women’s lacrosse at the University of Denver, where she was a Communications and Marketing major, and graduated in June 2015. She just started last week at ROOST, where she takes the role of website content manager. She'll write blogs and copy for the websites and update other aspects of the websites as needed, and she'll work on social media and other collateral materials, as well.
Zach LaCourse replaces Jasen as website development manager. Zach was born and raised in Saranac Lake, where he grew up with punk rock, skateboards and the mountain people. Before he was thankfully commandeered by ROOST, he worked as an information systems technician doing everything from networking and client/server application management to end-user support and programming. His education is mainly a massive compilation of books, endless hours of failure, and on-the-job experience in related fields. At ROOST, he will be responsible for the management and integrity of the multiple websites we run promoting different regions of the Adirondack Park as tourism destinations. Rock 'n' roll. Off the clock, he enjoys family and guitars.
The Communications Department and Tupper Lake office is also pleased to work with an intern this summer. Katie Stuart was known for her basketball skills while growing up in Tupper Lake. Now going into her junior year at Keuka College, Katie is studying communications and marketing.
