PROMOTIONAL EMAILS

Following is the schedule of promotional emails that we'll send to targeted email database lists. This program complements the content development, social networking, PR and SEO components of our communications strategy.

Lodging properties should make sure that you create your packages and Hot Deals to take advantage of these promotional opportunities. We suggest that appropriate Hot Deals packages are entered by the week prior to the date that emails are distributed.

BE PART OF THE MESSAGE!

We're now offering our marketing partners the opportunity to include your ad in the content of the promotional emails. You'll notice that the schedule includes a column that indicates the approximate number of recipients, and the approximate advertising cost is $.0125 per email address for each send.  (Local marketing partner bulletin is a flat fee of $50 per send).

Because the list is dynamic, and addresses are constantly being added and removed, the actual cost of the ad will be calculated at the time of the send.

Advertisement specifications: We'll be happy to design your ad for you. If you'd like to provide artwork, the specifications are as follows:
jpg format image, 500 pixels wide x 100 pixels with a link to a landing page of your choice or a downloadable PDF if applicable. 
Limit two advertisers per email send (first come, first served).

NOTE: This list currently includes only the schedule for the Lake Placid/High Peaks region emails. There are separate promotional email schedules for the Lake Champlain, Schroon Lake and Whiteface Regions, and advertising opportunities for marketing partners with photo listings on those sites are also available for regional sends. About the promotional email lists:

Years ago, the visitors bureau developed a customer list (database) that serves as the foundation for all of its marketing and communications efforts. This valuable resource is utilized to develop stronger relationships with our customers and better understand their behavior. Each of the regional websites — lakeplacid.com, lakechamplainregion.com, schroonlakeregion.com and whitefaceregion.com — prompts the site visitor to fill out an online contest entry form to win a vacation in that region. By filling out the form, and indicating their interest categories, the visitor opts into the appropriate email list(s) in the marketing database.

New leads are added to the database on a constant basis. Visitors are driven to the regional websites by advertisements, editorial coverage, by word of mouth, walk-in visitors, phone and mail information inquiries.
